Stuch and Bruch is the idea that every fencing technique has a counter and every counter has a technique. Technique and counter are two major components of German swordsmanship and a fair description of my screenwriting adventures and life.

Water, Water, Everywhere
Since elevation is on my side, my home won't be swept away any time soon but the water is inches from my back door due to ground saturation and substandard engineering in my unincorporated area. I may lose my carpet at this rate. Funny. We're still under drought restrictions due to three years of record low rainfalls and bone dry reservoirs last year that are now several feet above normal.

previous record here from 1937 was 14 straight days of rain... today is Day 17 and still coming, a dry day is predicted for the 4th... our lawn is 2 feet high, standing water everywhere which is going to be great for mosquito breeding purposes.. ugh, I want to go back to the desert
The real question is, do we all now have a burning desire to go see Evan Almighty?
Yet another reason to move to LA. Come on, all we get here are wildfires, mudslides and the very occasional earthquake.
Hope you (literally) keep your head above water.
I am SO very glad that you won't be affected by all that crazy flooding. It's very sad.

Glad to hear though that you aren't completely under water. Would sand bags help, or is it past that?
I guess I really need to watch the Weather Channel more. Is there a problem?
Well, the good news is that drought restrictions are being lifted. That bad news is that it's awfully hard to write anything in a snorkel and flippers.
