You betcha. Time to finish writing and rewriting and figure out whether we have anything worth submitting to the
Don and Gee Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Competition. Now, a few short years ago, this is what I lived for but I am becoming what horse folk call "long in the tooth" and my word
slinger aptitude may be eroding faster than my vision. But, how would I know? There is no annual exam for creativity and screenwriting skills.
Come to think of it, even if there WAS an exam, I would have passed it in my youth and nobody would make me take it again, would they? WOULD they? I mean, they don't make senior adults retake driver tests.
Nope.
Not even if they're 95 years old and can't read the street signs.
Or reach the steering wheel.
While sitting on 1979 phone books.
I think we have our answer.

Marran, You should go visit Scriptshaddow and submit your script to Amature Friday's where Carson Reeves reviews pre-pro screenwriter's scripts. Get feedback from a group of people. Can't hurt. WGAw register your script, maybe file for copywrite protection and get some feedback. It's doable. If you want I'll always read your script. All you have to do is ask.
Anyway, glad to read your still "in the game." Me too. Can't wait to get rid of the script I'm working on now. Too dark for my taste. Need to work on something uplifting. BUT then when you start something, you finish it. EVEN if it's hard, takes longer than you'd like, and you don't want too. NEVER wanna get in the rutt of being a starter, but not a finisher. PROs finish what they start, and get the material to the highest artform level that they're capable of doing.
Just sayin. Smile on, Texas girl. Good to know you still have some fight left in you.

I've actually gotten some very good notes on some of my projects but thanks for the lead. I'm familiar with Scriptshadow although never read any scripts there, just a few posts.
